Holistic care for families includes education about infants’ nutritional and developmental needs and providing support for them in order to encourage success with the chosen method(s). It is the responsibility of health care providers who work with childbearing families to provide current evidence-based information, offer clinical guidance and assist in identification of appropriate resources, and nutrition education. Our role is to empower mothers to achieve success in nourishing and nurturing their babies & children. In this presentation Kathleen will explore the nutritional & developmental requirements of growing children in the first 7 years.
