ProctorU Online Proctoring

The Board Exam in Holistic Nutrition is offered online only.  The HNCB uses ProctorU exclusively for exam proctoring.  

ProctorU is a live online proctoring service available 24/7 that allows test takers to take exams from anywhere using a webcam and Internet connection. This service uses live proctors who monitor exams by observing the student (via webcam) and his/her computer screen in real-time.  The cost of proctoring via ProctorU is included in the examination fee.

What is Online Proctoring?

Online proctoring is a method of proctoring in which the proctor is at a remote location and is able to view the student (via webcam) and student's computer simultaneously throughout the exam.

ProctorU is an online proctoring service that allows students to conveniently and securely complete exams using a "live" remote proctor. Technology including a webcam, microphone, computer, and Internet connection allows a "live" proctor to monitor the student's video, audio, and computer desktop throughout the examination. What identification is needed for ProctorU?

  • Have a government-issued photo ID card available to hold up to the webcam so that ProctorU can verify identity.
  • You will also be required to answer Challenge Questions to confirm your identity. The information for these questions comes from a US consumer database of public records.
