Cathy Eason is a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and Licensed Massage Therapist in private practice in Portland, Oregon as well as a writer, public lecturer, and holistic health practitioner mentor. She is a Senior NTP Lead Instructor for the Nutritional Therapy Association where she has taught the practitioner training since 2006 while also developing curriculum content and instruction team mentoring programs. With an academic background in Exercise Science & Physiology and Biochemistry, Cathy enjoys the challenge of teaching students the science of the human body in accessible ways despite our bodies' complexities. Cathy loves witnessing the many successes and incredible works of holistic nutritionists far and wide and strives to create international networks of holistic healthcare providers to spread a whole food nutrition message across the globe. Somewhat of an ‘education junkie’, Cathy has collected many additional credentials over the years but is most aligned as a Certified GAPS Practitioner, Certified AIP Coach, and Certified Food & Spirit Practitioner, bringing her vast knowledge of the workings of the human body into her deepening interest in the role of soul and spirit in holistic health. Cathy enjoys sharing her passion for education and understanding of “the big picture” with a wide variety of clients and holistic health circles, and her biggest passions now lie in creating healthy communities through good food, deeper investigation of life’s many challenges, and collaborative connections full of laughter and creativity.

Rebekah Fedrowitz, MHN, BCHNTM, is a holistic nutrition consultant, speaker, and author. She is passionate about educating a wide-range of individuals and groups about holistic nutrition. Rebekah’s mission is to see holistic nutrition and natural healthcare incorporated into conventional medicine and mainstream media. She believes “alternative” healthcare should be the first line of defense for both prevention and healing of illnesses.

Rebekah completed her Master’s diploma in Applied Holistic Nutrition from the Edison Institute of Nutrition. She is Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition and is a professional member of the National Association of Nutrition Professionals. As a consultant, speaker, and author, Rebekah has worked with a wide range of individual clients and groups to help people change their lives and finally discover the health they have been seeking.

Jodi Friedlander, NC, Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition®

Jodi Friedlander, NC, holds a baccalaureate degree from Sonoma State University, where she obtained a K-12 teaching credential. She is a 2006 graduate of Bauman College Holistic Nutrition and Culinary Arts and is Board Certified by the National Association of Nutrition Professionals (NANP) as a Holistic Nutrition Consultant, where she also serves on their Holistic Nutrition Credentialing Board.

Jodi is the former Nutrition Curriculum Consultant for Bauman College, as well as the author and co-author of many articles that can be found on the school’s website and in its publications. She currently maintains a private practice and teaches classes in her hometown of Tehachapi, CA, where she helps her clients learn about the energy-building and healing powers of whole foods, aided by the judicial use of nutrient supplements, physical movement, and support of emotional and spiritual growth. Her areas of expertise include autoimmune issues, blood sugar control, and nutritional support for those undergoing cancer treatments.

Jodi’s other interests include many types of athletic pursuits, especially rock climbing, hiking, cycling, and yoga. She’s an avid gardener and cook, and an obsessive foodie.

Jennifer D. Green, MS, is the Senior Vice President of Administration and Academic Affairs at Huntington University of Health Sciences (www.huhs.edu), a university specializing in undergraduate, master’s, and doctorate degree programs in integrative nutrition and health sciences. She currently services on the Distance Education Accrediting Commission’s (DEAC) Business Standards Subcommittee and as an Education Specialist Evaluator. Past experience includes: Dietary Technologist, University of Tennessee Medical Center; Nutrition Counselor, Diabetes Clinic, University of Tennessee Medical Center; Nutrition Counselor, Knox County Health Department; Nutrition Educator, conducting nutrition seminars and classes. Jennifer received her Master of Science in Nutrition from Huntington College of Health Sciences and Bachelor of Science in Home Economics, Nutrition and Food Science with minor in Child Development from Tennessee Technological University. She also holds an educator certification as a K-12 principal and served as chief administrator.

Wes Harwood, MS, has a passion for healthcare delivery and education. He began as a paramedic, trained and practiced as a Physician Assistant, and has found many opportunities to teach related subjects over the past three decades. Wes completed his Master’s Degree in Post-Secondary, Adult, and Continuing Education to enhance his teaching abilities.

Wes’ interest in complementary therapies and food (cooking is his hobby) led him to complete the Portland Community College Nutritional Therapy program. He was the first graduate to pass the NANP exam and now serves as a faculty member there.

Jill Hillhouse BPHE, CNP, RNT, is a Certified Nutritional Practitioner from The Institute of Holistic Nutrition and has earned her Bachelor of Physical and Health Education as well as her BA in Psychology from Queen’s University. She is certified as a First Line Therapist in Lifestyle Medicine by Metagenics and as a Stress and Wellness Consultant by the Hans Selye Foundation and The Canadian Institute of Stress.

Jill is a passionate advocate of nutrition education and whole foods eating. She focuses on addressing her clients’ metabolic individuality as a key factor in her functional nutrition protocols and coaching. A strong voice for self-advocacy, Jill encourages and empowers her clients to be active participants in their own health care. Working as a practitioner since 2001, Jill is part of the integrative health team at P3 Health Clinic in Toronto, Canada. She is also the Nutrition Director for KUR Health and a Trusted Advisor for Zwell.ca. Jill is the author of two books; Easy Gourmet Baby Food and The Best Baby Food and writes articles for a number of publications including Blikki.com, and Zwell.ca.

Jill has been a faculty member of The Institute of Holistic Nutrition since 2005, teaching Nutritional Symptomatology, Professional Practice and the continuing education course, Blood Sugar Management in Clinical Practice. She is a member of The Canadian Association of Natural Nutrition Practitioners and the Institute of Functional Medicine.

Cordelia McFadyen, RHN/CHN, is owner and holistic nutritionist at Inspired Living Nutrition Inc. After suffering for years from unknown food sensitivities and actively working her way back to strong health through proper nutrition, she was inspired and determined to take her education further so that she could help empower others back to great health. After earning her R.H.N./C.H.N. designation from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition she begun to help others reveal their best level of health through the combination of proper nutrition, daily movement and specific supportive lifestyle habits. Combing her passion of nutrition and supporting the holistic nutrition industry she also serves as the Assistant Dean to the School of Holistic Nutrition at Pacific Rim College. Cordelia also loves to talk so you can find her spreading her love of local, organic, delicious and nutritious foods at various events in Calgary and Victoria, as well as for corporate groups and private parties.

Apart from touting the benefits of greens and lemon water to anyone who will listen, she is an avid outdoors-woman who enjoys long hikes, canoeing, crabbing, reading, dancing with friends and tending to her garden. She is also a proud board member of the Holistic Nutrition Credentialing Board (HNCB). Cordelia splits her time between Calgary AB, and Victoria, BC and in her free time can be found walking her awesome Chihuahua Juno and writing about herself in third person.

Dorene Petersen, BA, Dip.NT, Dip.Acu, RH (AHG), Dorene is the Founder and President of American College of Healthcare Sciences (ACHS). She has more than 35 years’ experience in higher education administration as well as clinical aromatherapy, botanical medicine, holistic nutrition, and other areas of holistic health and wellness. Dorene lectures across the U.S. and internationally on wellness topics, most recently at the 2012 and 2014 Asian Aroma Ingredients Congress & Expo, the annual conferences for the International Federation of Essential Oils and Aroma Trades (IFEAT), and the 2014 Northwest Regional Lavender Conference. She also shares her expertise through various publications, including the International Journal of Professional Holistic Aromatherapy and Massage Magazine, as well as TV and radio shows, including Good Morning Oregon, the national radio show Voice of America, KPTV Better Portland, In the Garden, and Wise Woman Radio with Susun Weed. Dorene was a recipient of the 2014 NANP Service Award and is a frequent contributor to NANP’s E-Zine.

As one of the preeminent nutrition practitioners in the Denver-area focused on family nutrition, Sara Peternell's emphasis is on fertility, pregnancy, post-partum and feeding growing children.

Her undergraduate education is a Bachelor of Arts from Drake University. After ten fun years in the marketing world, she changed careers and pursued studies in the Master of Nutrition Therapy program at the Nutrition Therapy Institute. As a graduate of this renowned program, Sara became a Master Nutrition Therapist (MNT) and an instructor at the school. She has been offering personalized nutrition services to individuals, children, families, non-profits and corporations since 2005.

Dr. Helayne Waldman has been investigating the relationship between cancer and nutrition since her father was diagnosed with lung cancer in the 1990's. She formalized her studies at Bauman College in 2003, and has been involved in the area of oncology nutrition full time since 2007. In 2012 Helayne published, with co-author Ed Bauman, her first book: The Whole Food Guide for Breast Cancer Survivors, which continues to be an Amazon bestseller in the category of nutrition and cancer. In addition to teaching at Hawthorn University, Helayne is a member of the teaching staff at the University of Western States, Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine Program and is a regular lecturer and workshop facilitator for the Cancer Support Community, a national non profit (formerly known as Gilda's Club). She has contributed articles to the Townsend Letter for Doctors and Patients, GreenMedInfo and other online health blogs, and is a Board member of the Annie Appleseed Project, which puts on a yearly conference on Alternative and Complementary treatments for cancer in West Palm Beach, Florida. Helayne has a private practice in Oakland, California, where she works with clients to optimize their cancer deterrence strategies, specializing in breast cancer.

Canadian School of Natural Nutrition

Rose O’Leary is the Executive Director and Registrar of the 14 branches of the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. She is actively involved in training the Branch Managers, and in creating and enforcing CSNN’s operational policies and procedures. As Registrar, Rose makes final rulings on student issues, and oversees the grading system, student records, and graduation requirements.

Since 1997, Rose has been working with industry associations, stakeholders, and industry employers to promote both CSNN and holistic nutritionists. She continues to be an advisor to the NANP’s Credentialing Board.
